This latest cycle has been a significant transition for C-Tech, highlighted by the opening of our new factory in Spain. This facility has enabled us to manufacture the majority of America’s Cup battens and parts, maintaining our high standards and quality while eliminating freight issues associated with the battens, which are up to 7.5 meters long. The rapid development curve at our Spanish factory has been impressive, ensuring we continue to uphold the reputation we’ve built in New Zealand. 🌏
Being a chosen supplier by all of the America’s Cup teams is a significant achievement for C-Tech. Our work involves a mix of designing solutions and building components to the teams’ specifications. Across the 6 teams, we have supplied a wide range of parts including mainsail battens, hardware, tangency systems, composite corners (main tack, jib clew, jib tack, jib head), jib battens, jib hardware, and structural tubes. Our products play a crucial role in the performance and reliability of the boats.
Our new Spanish factory’s capabilities will extend and continue to develop for Grand Prix boats and superyachts. We’re honored and grateful have been a part of this journey with all the teams this AC cycle, and we wish them the best of luck in their upcoming races! 🌟
