The 2023 Rolex Fastnet offshore sailing race left spectators and participants alike in awe with its thrilling battles and extraordinary displays of skill and determination. With more than 450 boats competing in the 50th anniversary of the race and completing the grueling 700 nautical mile route, the event became a true test for the sailors!
Among the standout competitors in the Ultim and IMOCA divisions, SVR Lazartigue took center stage by securing line honors overall and achieving a spectacular new race record that will be remembered for years to come. Right alongside them, Banque Populaire showcased their prowess, taking the well-deserved 2nd place.
The IMOCAs were no less exhilarating, with Macif earning the coveted 1st place, while Paprec Arkea followed closely in 2nd position, demonstrating their competitive edge in such a challenging race, For The Planet rounded up the podium in 3rd! Resulting in all podium finishers being equipped with C-Tech battens and hardware across both divisions in these demanding conditions.
The dominance of this force extended beyond the Ultim and IMOCAs divisions. In the multihull division, the top five finishers relied on the same winning edge that set them apart from the competition. With each boat in the division showcasing exceptional performance.
Not stopping there, C-Tech also featured among the podium in the IRC overall standings, with the top three finishers again all harnessing its products. These boats and sailors demonstrated their expertise, all achieving extraordinary results in a very tough and brutal race!
